I might be able to give that a try, hopefully soon. Honestly I wish it was something easy and that I was just being an idiot. But for the life of me I just can't figure it out. Especially earlier when I had it running and ran 3DMark06 start to finish without a hiccup at all. The card was burning hot to the touch (the heatsink at least) but still within normal ranges based on CCC's temp gauge. I turn the PC off, connect a power cable to the case's connection for the shiny red lights. Turn it back on and more crashes. Power off, remove cable connecting to case lights and more crashes!

I need a crying/sobbing emoticon...

Ain't that just the weirdest thing. so both the 5770 and 4890 crash, but the GTS 250 doesnt?

maybe you should just completely wipe your hard drive and start everything on the software side anew (if you haven't already) - otherwise I'm out of ideas. It does sound more software though. (sorry about the RAM suggestion, didn't realize you ran another card in there for that amount of time)

The 5770 does not crash, he has tried TWO 4890's and both of them have crashed but that same 4890 worked in a different rig.
