What are normal 5770 temps?

UPDATE: I found this really good method that is used for calculating temps with airconditioners and stuff, its called delta T.

BASICALLY; if you have a 5770, post your ambient temperature (this is the most important part), your full load with furmark, and your idle temperature.

NOW all you do is (full load temp) - (Ambient temp) = (delta T value)

In my case: (86-28) = 58C

So what are your Delta T temperature guys? This is the only real way that we can directly compare with eachother as ambient temperature usually throws things off...

With your room temp these are normal. 50-52 is a bit high but with a room with normal temp I am pretty sure your card will run like she should.

Do you have fan speed set to auto or manually changing it with OverDrive or MSI Afterburner?

make sure your case has decent ventilation ,good cable management and some intake/exhaust fans could drop the temps by alot.If you have a reference design you could take some tin snips and cut the vent on the bracket out for more airflow

I have 4 case fans... Look at my ambient temperature... does that excuse the high temps? Right now on idle its like 49 because its 26C ambient....

Ask i just asked and you did not respond to, is the fan speed set to auto or do you have it manually set (if so to what %)? Auto fan speed absolutely sucks for fan speed as well as keeping your card cool as it runs it ridiculously slow

Oh yeah thats true, it was set to like 50% max, never went any higher. The fan profiles are indeed lazy in CCC. I'm never touching Afterburner again as it makes the fans go 100% every boot up. KK READ THE UPDATE, ITS IMPORTANT!!!

I personally wouldnt mind the fan at 100%,then again i always have headphones on so i rarely hear my case fans

Use the 2D and 3D mode function.

2D mode for silence and 3D mode for gaming :)

Just crank up the fan speed. My 4850 and 9600GT fans are inaudiable until ~90%

Is there a way to force it into and out of 2D mode manually? Wouldnt mind that since when i OC my 5870 the shadders always stay in 3D mode even when not in use.
