My System Specs

Default Sub $100 GPU

I'm looking for a GPU to shove in an older HP mATX tower. There's space for a double slot cooler, but not for full length cards. This will be used mostly for older games and SCII, at 1440x900. DX11 is not a selling feature. I was thinking a GTS 250, but that's a bit over my budget of $100.

It's a Corsair 400CX. I'd rather not have to buy a new one. Processor is an Athlon 64 X2 4200+.

I'm liking the GT 240. The machine only has one PCIe slot, and it's 1.0, so SLI/CF is out of the question (and it'd probably be really bottlenecked). Plus it only needs a 350W PSU

That's plenty for GTS250/4850/5770 class cards.

360 watts/30 amps on the 12v rail, you can do better than a 240 :)
