what do you mean by "full" length cards? Dimensions?

By "full" size I mean the sort of standard 10.5". It CANNOT overhang the motherboard at all, the end of it is right up against the hard drive cage.

One other thing, I'd like either a cool running card or a full coverage cooler, like found on the high end ATI and Nvidia cards. It's a pretty small case, with little to no airflow.

Dont ever put the 5770, and the 4850 in the same sentence with GTS 250, they are not even close.

The 5770 and 4850 are both equal to a gtx 260.

This would be a nice one, pretty sure you can PM it lower.

Just to clear up a bit of misinformation, the 4850 is no way in reality equal to a gtx260 and the 4850 bairly becomes equal to a gtx9800+.

The Games of Christmas '08: GPU Performance Part 1

A GTS250 will be fine for 1440x900, on the ati side 5770/50

You can find a GTS 250 (512mb) for under $100 before tax/shipping.

i.e. $30 mail in rebate on the EVGA GTS 250 atm, $123.48 + 9.99 shipping + tax -$30 rebate = $120.82 CDN after tax, shipping, rebate
EVGA E-GEFORCE GTS 250 675MHZ 512MB 1.8GHZ DDR3 PCI-E HDMI DVI-I VGA Video Card - DirectCanada

Nearly the same price at canada computers, but possibly save on shipping if you have one locally.
EVGA GeForce GTS 250 512MB (512-P3-1140-TR) nVidia GeForce GTS 250 Chipset (675Mhz) 1GB (1800Mhz) GDDR3 Dual Dual-Link DVI/HDMI/D-Sub PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card | Canada Computers

If that's over your budget then you're looking at a GT 240,
i.e. $104.33 +9.99 shipping +tax -$35 rebate = $94.18 CDN after tax, shipping, rebate
EVGA GeForce GT 240 550MHZ 1GB 1.58GHZ DDR3 PCI-E VGA DVI-I HDMI Video Card - DirectCanada

Just to chip in, EVGA has a 30 dollar mail-in rebate right now, meaning their 1 GB GTS250 is very close to your mark post-rebate (minus HST)

NCIX.com - Buy EVGA E-GEFORCE GTS 250 675MHZ 1GB 1.8GHZ DDR3 PCI-E HDMI DVI-I VGA Video Card - 01G-P3-1145-TR In Canada.

Similar rebate for MSI's 1GB GT240, but the rebate's in USD AND they throw in a download coupon for a game.
NCIX.com - Buy MSI N240GT-MD1G/D5 GeForce GT 240 550MHZ 1GB GDDR5 3.4GHZ HDMI DVI VGA Video Card - N240GT-MD1G/D5 In Canada.

I got a GT 240 with 512mb ddr5 for my gf cuz she wanted a cool and quiet gpu to possibly play SCII. She got an i3 530 and I manage to play it maxed at 1920 x 1200. I got it for 60$ after MIR which I find to be pretty amazing.
