For what it's worth, I went from a 4850 to a 5850 and it is a big jump.

If I would have waited until now, I'd probably consider a gtx460 1gb - they are a bit overpriced now because they're hot, but should come down to $200 on sale...at some point in time...

At least with ncix you can price match, and sometimes they have free (ground) shipping promos.

Another question to ponder. Is there a big difference in games if I went with the 460 GTS 768 mb card as oppsoed to the 1 gig version. I am running most games is 1680x1050?

I just purchased the EVGA GTX 460 768mb Super Clocked edition and im going form a vision tek 4850 512mb

and my setup is similiar

Intel Q9550 2.83
Asus P4Q-E motherboard
4 GB dd2 667's


how much of a difference is 1gb and the 768?? i got my video card after taxes for $242

Im getting a faster cloak speed then the 1GB model thats what drew me to the Super clocked edition of the GTX 460

I changed it and now i just have the EVGA 1GB 465 model and apprently Canada computers says there a mail in rebate and when i went to EVGA site it expired on september 2nd :-(
