Question XFX 7600 GT 256 DDR3 AGP....just installed...

the card tonight and then installed the latest drivers(163.75) for xp pro. Then installed NVIDIA nTune everything is working well, except trying to play BF2.The splash screen comes up for about 10 secs then back desktop.

Help!!! Is there more stable drivers out there. This is my game of choice right now?Do I need to reinstall the game again?

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

It's stock,i'm really excited about having a card like this.Hope it's just a driver, iwas looking at the driver download page and the drivers close to the 100's have the most downloads.I'm getting a 22 widscreen at christmas so i'm hopping this all works out.
Man I originally had geforce card then went to ATI now back to geforce.

So....you were using a Radeon before this? Did you uninstall the catalyst drivers before you switched cards? Also, did you double-check that you plugged in the molex connector on the end of the card? GL

if you runing a 7600 you could rool back to an older driver version just in case those drive have trouble with your particular hardware/games

have you enable any AA/Af ???

just google for "bf2 black screen back to desktop" and you will find plenty of information on that trouble

Windowed mode: C:\...\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 0

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled the game, one thing i read in another forum was deleting old BF2 registry and all temp files. What was happening from my understanding was the game was looking for my old video card and thats why it was crashing. So evrything is fixed.

Thanks
