Default Crossfire Question

Does anybody know if an HD4860 could crossfire with an HD4870? Or, do cards have to be identical to crossfire? Thanks.

They have to be from the same series, ie: 4850 and 4870.

Therefore, yes you can.

DISCLAIMER: The faster card WILL downclock to the card with the lowest performance.

Yes, so essentially you will be running crossfire of 2 4860s. Not worth it IMHO.

you could just OC the 4860 as much as possible(in your comfort zone ofcorse) so the 4860 doesnt downclock as much
