Default New Graphic card for Media Center PC

I want to move my brother processor INTEL QX9770 to my media center PC and I want to buy a new graphics card for gaming. will the QX9770 will works good with the GTX 470 or the HD5850? Which is better? they are good graphics card for games in 1920X1080 with filters?

look up reviews of the gtx 460. 200-220 bucks.get the 1 giger. 1920X1080 with filters : all eye candy on? its not going to cut it, neither of ones you mentioned will with all games.

No it's not. The GTX470 is better then the GTX460. Some people don't read what you actually write.

The 470 is better then the 460 however i believe it runs hotter (more hot air into the computer case), uses more power, and is a longer card so it may not fit into a media centre case.

its not that you need, but at 200 dollars its a killer. 768mb version that is. 220 for the 1gig. if you game at 1920x1080 get the 1giger. below, the 768mb will be ok as well.
remember, not all games will be playable with all eye candy 1t 1920x1080/1200. hell even at 1680 metro kills it lol.with eye candy full blown,

A GTX470 is deffinately faster than a HD5850.
