That's actually more than just a little impressive, that's damn fine considering that you have to run the GPU3 client which I know (from very recent experience... :) ) drops the output on my 275 by over 1000 PPD when compared to the standard GPU client. Armed with that, I'd guess that your lightly overclocked 460 would probably put out closer to 11750 PPD if we were comparing apples to apples.

I have a couple of 1GB cards now. They are barely any better @ folding than the 768MB cards. W/ the same clocks I am getting about 10.7k ppd.

Now the bad thing is that the stock cooling on these Zotac 1GB cards is horrible. It has external exhaust but it has part of it blocked off for a DVI port like the ATI cards did. In SLI my top card breaks 100C folding. So until I buy some waterblocks for these badboys they aren't going to be folding.

I have fan pointed towards them. And what do you mean by backplate? The PCI bracket? That I won't remove as i don't want to damage the cards from lack of support.

Well i just got them installed. I've removed my 5850 Crossfire and installed the Gigabyte GTX 460 1GB with the 2 fans cooler.

I got Idle temps at about 36, 32C and i overclocked them to 800/2000 without any trouble. Load temps of about 65C on both with 49% Fan speed (MSI Afterburner in both Metro 2033 and Aliens vp Predator), Load in Furmark at 70C. I can't ear the Videocard from my sitting distance. I can ear them from about 70% fan speed.

First thing. With my 5850, Aliens vs Predator shuttered like madness, it was Epic. One card was fine, 2 was unplayable most of the time. With both 260 it's as perfect as it can be, only slow down when it load from the HDD to cache data. Serously, right now i much prefer SLI to Crossfire from my experience. HDMI sound work perfect. Altought i had to cut the Mini HDMI to HDMI adaptor a little because i have a HAF 932 and the backplate is a about one inch inside the case, so the adaptor was not getting in the Mini HDMI port, 30 second of cutting fixed that.

I don't have Bitstream of Blu-Ray HD codec yet because PowerDVD 10 will need to be updated (rumour in September) but i still have PCM so it's ok.

Another thing from ATI to NVIDIA. I saw the same thing as Xbox360 vs PS3. The color on Nvidia are on the dull side, i boosted the Digital Vibrance a little and it was back. Only because my projector was calibrated for the ATI and i wanted to fix it quickly! :)

I got a EVGA GTX 460 768. Very impressed. Overclocks like a beast too.

Got a second GTX 460 too for SLI. Will posts results later.

Kinda pissed that I buy 2x GTX 460's and neither come with the SLI cable. I may have lost it :(
