Default Baked my Vid Card Today...

So my dell Laptop started having issues a little while ago. Not 100% sure what it was I tried new ram first which did nothing. So it came down to the video card. I guess the nice thing with dell is that it's not a built in card and can be removed. I ended up doing a bunch of reading and figured what have I got to loose. So into the oven it went at 385 f for about 10 mins. Put everything back together and it's been running like a champ for the past hour. It wouldn't even boot before.

question is, after all that 'chemical' smoke that went into thine oven, would you use it again for food? :)

Had to do the same with my 8800GTX. No smoke, works great ever since.

Haven't run any tests on it. I don't use my laptop for much so as long as it's web browser stable I'm happy. Left it on all night just to see and it works great this morning. And no there was no smoke from what I could see. I watched it the entire time just in case.

Baking a PCB does not release any "chemical smoke".
