HD 5750 vs 5770 vs 5830

1280x1024 sadly. It was a 4 bill monitor back when I first purchased it in 2006.

I am a bit of a movie nerd and it has been a fight to not upgrade to something 1080p but if I plan on it I would like to know I can game at high quality at native res at the same time.

the 5830 isn't really worth it, for about $20-$30 more you can get a 5850 which destroys the 5830. Other wise I would get a 5770 if you are on a budget.

da 5770 is actually a very powerful card for the cost, without a doubt the best bang for buck card on market at the moment especiall for 1680 rez. Mine handles everything i throw at it w/ my tri core cpu, really dont need anything else (dont play or care for crysis, only demanding game out there for my 5770).

Personally I think your choice should be between the 5770 and 5850, the 5770 is an excellent card however the 128Bit Memory Bus could be a potential issue down the road. If at all possible I'd go 5850 just for that reason i.e. 256Bit Bus and future proof.

If OP is not NVIDIA hater, why not throw GTX460 1Gb or even 768MB (considering used resolution) to the Poll?
For less money then 5830 at that moment - it gives slightly better performance and amazing scaling in later SLI configuration.
