The pricing structre of hardware down under is what I could only call..."interesting".

Seriously, if the HD 5870 is so close in price to the HD 5850, I see no point in going with the lower-end card. Just avoid HIS as their warranty service is far from acceptable.

Interesting, I've always known it as Return Materials Authorization

Thanks mate, And yeah, That's the BEST prices in my area... Like, It's a pretty good place for the "cheapest" stuff in AUS.

The Powercolour 5850 is $339.0O, While the Powercolour 5870 is $430

It's $90 difference. With that price difference, Is it worth going for the 5870? Will I see much difference from the 5850 to the 5870?

It's good you've helped me down to 2 cards, haha I was all over the place before.

Hmm they both go up and down on each one, ones better on one graph, the others better on the other.... Still doesn't really help, hahaha.

Im going away to QLD in 5 weeks, I can't go over 400, But I don't mind spendin it.... But if the 5850 is just as well as the 5870... or close enough... But that graph 30% better or something??

Confused still!!

The answer, on a 1080P monitor: not likely. However, if you play with higher instances of AA then you may want to go with the better card. I actually use an HD 5850 on a 30" monitor in my gaming rig and I don't have any issues using 4xAA in 90% of the games out there.

one shows performance for all resolutions, the other performance per dollar

techPowerUp :: Axle Radeon HD 5670 1024 MB Review :: Page 30 / 33

look up the latest video card review. doesnt matter what it is, as long as its up to date. and then you compare

keep in mind that performance per dollar was set at the time of the review,things change. performance per watt and the others stand.

If you are absolutely sure that the GX2 is out of warranty, I suggest you to bake it.

Perineum is correct. It stands for Return Material Authorization or Return Merchandise Authorization.

I second this. I recently resurrected a dead 9600GSO by baking it.
