My System Specs

I have a Scythe 120mm 1900 /rpm blowing cool air directly into the GPU Fan intakes and the 140mm Xiggy pushing cool air directly onto both GPU's from the side.....cannot stress the importance of fresh air on these Cards...with that said..if you weren't getting extremely high Temps while gaming (as in mid to high 90's) then, as Martin state could be something else...2 480's caput seems odd....although I see you have an HX 1 kW...should be fine.

..curious, what is your 980X OC'd to? I know with my 980X @ 4.15 Ghz and really high OC's on my GPU's (with GPU Voltage increases 1700 / 2050 Mhz) I have had my GPU's "stop"...black screen...require reboot (while running Vantage)....although this also may have been highly unstable 4.35 Ghz OC on the CPU...never did narrow it down as its a little to over the top for my liking ;)

Firestrike Extreme: 21.452
MARK 11: 32.530

its interesting though. acquiring a gpu these days warrants serious cooling and perhaps upping the db level in the vicinity of the machine.

ill still put my lunch money on the psu. i have seen a dead 480 or so but not one after another in the sane system. ok except if the owner is doing stupid things( read 2 in as many days)
