Your right, thats what GPUZ was reporting, but according to nvidia's website

it should be:
core/mem/shader : 850/1200/?

How does a score of 18347 for 3dmark '06 sound?

I think that should be 425/1200/850.

Yep I checked gpuz again, opps it said 425/600/850 (core/mem/shader)

But on nvidia's website they say "Processor Clock (MHz) 850 MHz"
GeForce GTX 480M

They must be referring to the shader? You'd think "processor clock" would be the cpu.

And memory 1200mhz, so gpuz is just reporting the base clock, not double data rate?

GPU-Z only reports base memory rate. As for the processor clock, yes, that is what nVidia calls the shader clock.
