you need 8800gs 9600gs at a minimum
i was gonna throw a 8800gt to the folders but she will be used for physx

How about using a 5970 and 295? I happen to have both and would be interested to see how it would work. My psu is plenty, with 1000w Corsair. How do you go about this? I need it in layman's terms, as I'm just learning, don't know software yet.

Left4Dead cannot possibly get any benefit from PhysX, so either he was imagining it, or it's a different game.

Check the link on jdrom's first post for his thread on making a nvidia+ati baby (which if we go by color mixing, team green+team red= hideous brown...)

or try and find the 257.15 Beta GTX driver where nVidia neglected to include disabling PhysX if ATI is present.

I think you'd definitely want something more than a 9500GT. Going with current generation, I'd say GT240 minimum, and of yesteryear, 8800 series and 9800 series. The GTX series of cards are rather expensive for purely PhysX.
