Default Eyefinity 6 edition question. Still Need Active adaptor?

Im thinking about Buying a eyefinity 6 edition and running Crossfire with My XFX 5870 I have now.

Now for the Questions

-Does Crossfire Support Eyefinity?
-If i run the eyefinity 6 edition card as my Primary, Do i still need active display port adaptors?

Yes, crossfire works with eyefinity.

To be honest, I'm not certain on the second, but if i remember correctly you only need two active adapters to run all 6 monitors on the eyefinity6 card - so i believe that means you have 4 outputs without the need for active. But again, i dont remember exactly.

i read in a couple places that you would need an active adapter on a card if your going to use more then 2 dvi adapters, the third would have to be active. i could be wrong for crossfire since you have 2 cards you could just hook 2 up on one and 2 on the other.

DIN... The Eyfinity 6 cards do not have a DVI connector.

I'm guessing from this video that you need 6.

On a side note the Sapphire 5970 toxic comes with 1 adapter, so I guess eyefinity 6 edition should have the adapters.
