Default 2900XT and Thermalright HR-03/R600

Anyone have any experience or can point me to some review with the HR-03/R600???

How much does it actually drop temps?

Would it be worth buying?

Well, i think it's fair to say that almost everything Thermalright is worth buying... but i haven't seen any "reviews".. just peoples opinions in forums/customer reviews.etc. Seems to please people, the size and weight are a concern though.

I'll put in a request with our Thermalright rep since I have a few 2900XT cards here. You may also want to look into the Thermaltake DuOrb too...which will be reviewed here on HCs in the next week or two on both an 8800GTS and a 2900XT.

Small update, I was installing it and the bracket mount was missing from my package ($#[email protected]*%^#*^[email protected]&&$^*&^%#@&$) so I cannot finish installation or even use my card until I get the bracket mount. I shot off an email to Thermalright and hopefully they can send me one quick, but I did buy it from Ebay so I may be SOL. Guess I am about to learn how good Thermalright's customer support is........

It would be great if you could put them head-to-head in the review to get a good comparison.

Got my HR-03 installed today. It is DEFINITELY worth installing on these cards. I also agree that the leaf blower effect was quite annoying inside my quiet case. Major temp drops too. I was idling @ 60-65C before and easily hitting the mid 70C's before with the stock cooler. Now, I am idling @ 45C and loading around 65C. My Ambient is about 22-24C as well in this room. I used a quiet 92MM fan. My card is OC'd to 850MHz core/2200MHz memory as well. If you own these cards and plan on keeping it for hte long haul, getone. I am very very very happy.
