Default Ugh, Nvidia 197.13 driver problems?

So I updated from driver 196.21 to 197.13. Main reason was to see if the "improved" physx software for H.264 playback.

Anyways, when I play a FLV file on MPC-HC and it black screens for 2 seconds and a blue screen of death

its the same for WMN files too

Anyone else having problems?

Did you use drivercleaner.net or something similar to totally wipe your old drivers first?

I haven't got any decent game that is worth playing to test it out. But its fine when its doing F@H when its idle tho.

I only got the cheap guy's version of driver sweeper

Damn these nvidia are not so perfect anymore. It reminds me of ATI drivers Time to go back to 196.21

And damn why are these nvidia drivers taking up 1.3GB of space

Curious...I'm also using the "freeware" Driver Sweeper" BUT with the "theGryphon" mod....finds a hell of a lot more hidden nv files when running the Program.....you using this?

1. Remove nv 3D crap
2. Remove Physx Crap
3. Remove nv Driver
4. Boot into Safe Mode and run Driver Sweeper several times until no more nv files appear (Driver Sweeper with Gryphon mod)
5. Reboot install new Drivers
6. Enable PhysX and SLI
7. Reboot one more time.

196.21 wouldn't allow my 2nd GPU to properly downclock to 2D Clocks.....no issues at all with this new version.

Apparently it takes up 1.3gb when installed.

Got 197.13 out, driver sweepped and reinstalled 196.21.

No more problem with FLV and AVI files.

And I got way too many codecs anyways
