Sometimes with Future Shop, when you add an item to your price watch they'll send you an update email -- in that update e-mail they'll show the que number as to how many orders are already past what's available in stock... sort of like how far back ordered they are...

Anyhow, my hunch is the earlier you buy the better --- however, since you've been on the waiting list this long with NCIX you may be better off staying with what you got.. probably by the end of the week future shop will change to 'sold out' when they've gotten past their inventory expectations. I'm in retail and I know what I've coming, and wouldn't sell past that point.

my 2 cents..

I got mine yesterday :) And it's going back today :(

Bad memory chips on the 8800GT SC. Seems to be a fairly common problem. Now I'm back to my 6800GS until my RMA'd 8800GT SC arrives.

I used to be the guy that NEVER bought anything 1st generation. Now I know why I was that guy. I think I liked him better.

I've been waiting since Nov 2 for mine... Ordered from D/C - Apparently while my order was being processed, someone swept in and bought the last stock. Mine is locked in at 238.50, but I'm still waiting... Anyone have ANY idea when DC will have them back in stock?

Everyone is going crazy about this new video card "8800gt".......even me.
But I'm in no rush to get, I'm going to wait until the new years, and get it for an even lower price....in a way I'm happy everyone is trying to get them now, that will cause the sales to go down after Christmas, and hopefully so does the price.

So far my 1900XTX is doing it's job, to all the games that I throw at it.
I'm even thinking to myself...do I really need one????? Or do I want one because everybody else wants one??????? Weird but true....

Good luck, and congratulations for the people that are able to get one.

I need one cause I'm going PCI-E and my 6800GT sucks :P

I just hope I can get one for a decent price since I'll be buying one in 1 or 2 weeks.
