NVidia responds to complaints about Vista drivers

-Are NVIDIA's Vista drivers ready for prime time? A vocal group of *****s doesn't think so, going so far as to launch a web site devoted to the possibility of initiating a class-action lawsuit against NVIDIA.
At issue is the performance of NVIDIA's Vista drivers. There are numerous posts in NVIDIA's forums commenting on the state of the company's Vista drivers. One fairly typical post outlines a user's struggle to game on his Core 2 Duo system with a GeForce XFX 8800 GTX installed:

I have Vista Ultimate 32-bit edition and an 8800GTX. I installed 4 games (UT2004, Dreamfall, Oblivion and NFS Most Wanted) and not a single one of them works. Even with Forceware 100.30, 100.54 and 100.59.
If I am lucky I can play for a couple of seconds, but then the game crashes to the desktop with the error message "Your display driver crashed and has been recovered" ...or something.

This is one of the reasons that I will be waiting to purchase Vista, that and Creatives drivers. I mean DX10 is great and all but if I cant play it or listen to it whats the point.
I'm sure these issues will get sorted out but that a new OS, although the big N is pushing it from what I hear.

That ad does semi-well it seems. It was Ars Technica that made me first stumble onto this forum
