Default GTX460?

Will Nvidia release another card besides the GTX480 and the GTX470.

There's zero information about it, the market will dictate if it's needed. "Press Releases & Tech News" is the wrong section for this.

Thread moved to video forum. And while I'd expect some lower end cards to filter down the channel, I doubt it will be within 6 months. Look how long it took to bring the GF100's to market.

While it's true that GF100 is more modular than GT200 so to speak, given the power consumption issues I think it might take a little while before we see lower-end parts.

may be sooner than expected. half the performance of the 480 can be achieved with good power envelopes, i think.

I think Nvidia could flesh out it's line up; although I'd be willing to bet for the next 6 months I'm not sure how they'd do it.

I mean you can't even find a GTX 275 online right now, at least I can't.. and I'm not sure why.. since really there are basically no Nvidia cards available right now.. with the 470's and 480's coming down the pipe shortly.

It would definitely be in NV's best interest to churn out their GF100 derivatives as soon as possible.
ATI put out their complete Evergreen lineup within 6 months and NV should do the same, if not faster considering how late GTX480/470 is (and it's still not actually available).
Otherwise, we might be seeing some more G92 rebadging....

Should be ~4-6 months before this happens. I'm pretty sure GF102-GF108 are pretty much taped out anyways... not much work to it.

They would be stupid not to. ATI is seriously weak between the HD 5770 and HD 5850.

My prediction:

384 cores
48 TMUs
32 ROPs
256-bit GDDR5

But that's just me thinking out loud....
