Default Upcoming NVIDIA Cards: HWC Announcement

As many of you know, NVIDIA's upcoming cards will be launched at PAX East 2010. Their announcement and presentation at the show will be held between 6PM and 7PM EST on March 26th. Unfortunately, this presentaion will not be webcast due to the fact it will be completely done in 3D and would not translate well with the 2D technology you are probably viewing this message on.

We understand that many of you will probably have plans for Friday night and may be thinking that you'll have to wait until Monday or sometime afterwards to get the low-down regarding NVIDIA's next generation cards.

The real reason behind this announcement (and the reason it is getting a dedicated thread) is to tell you to cancel those plans because you won't have to wait until Monday. Stay tuned to HWC or your favorite online publication right after the NVIDIA PAX announcement and you won't be disappointed. Trust me.

Thanks to NVIDIA for allowing us to post this.

I think that the cards will be quite interesting in their architecture, but I think that overall they will disappoint. ATI has had multiple driver releases over the months of delay and have greatly increased the efficiency of their cards. I think that the best price to performance ratio will still be held by ATI. I'm just hoping that this makes ATI drop their prices!

Not like I'm going to be gaming without a hard drive... Then again my Atom isn't exactly a screaming video machine so whatever this is eluding to, it's quite possible it won't do.
