XFX 5870 wont overclock

As I mentioned in previous threads about my 5870 being an overclocking dud, ive managed to get the final insult from it.

I decided to get brave last night and flash my card to the unlocked asus bios(paid for the warranty premium with xfx might as well use it right?), that went fine without issue.
Uninstall old drivers, used driver sweeper and reinstalled new drivers as well as MSI afterburner.

Results

1.35v
852mhz
1220mhz memory

Failed.

I tried that voltage from 851 - 1050mhz and it crashed every single time.

Anyone got any suggestions aside from just biting the bullet in knowing I got the crummiest die out of them all lol.

You're not the first I have heard this happen to and certainly not the last. It has been happening more and more with recent HD 5800 series.
