That is a foolish statement...blaming consumers for not supporting an OS that doesn't have enough support in the first place...Microshaft [sic] certainly doesn't need any more PR people does it?.

Good day.

That's true if under the assumption that every gamer is looking for the absolutely highest level of visual effects without compromise. That may be a reality for enthusiasts, but for people who are happy with regular visual seasoning, it's a moot point.

Ummm, is it not the consumers that drive the market for computers? If none of us bought new computers, would we be where we're at today? And I've used Vista for nearly 6 months now without any major issues. If everybody was using Vista now (nearly a year after release), don't you think there would be better support from developers?
I presume your running Linux then? If not maybe you should be.

There's more to the refusal to run VISTA than the growing pains involved with a new OS.

I pay for all my media but even so, I refuse to accept an OS with the kind of kernal level DRM that's included in VISTA.

I haven't come across any issues with all the said DRM stuff. Then again I don't have any true HD content that uses HDCP. And of course there's ways around DRM.

Anyways, sorry to the OP for semi-taking this thread off-topic.

I gave up on that one a few years ago, but it helped me convince my parents that I was spending my money wisely on my first major upgrade...
