quadro fx 3800 vs. gtx 295 for 2d photoshop and illustrator cs4

I'm building a machine but someone told me that the quadro line of video cards are very good, i haven't really found many reviews comparing both. If i do 2d art photoshop and illustrator, what type of video card is best? the quadros are more expensive than the gtx 295, though it seems on paper the 295 is faster. any insights would be helpful.

the rest of my pc specs:
intel core i7-920
corsair 6gb ddr3 1600mhz or 12gb?
corsair 256gb ssd - main drive
western digital 1tb black for data
asus, p6x58d mobo

For photoshop you won't feel any difference between a 9800GT and a GTX295. Save your money and get a card for around 100 bucks. Anything 2D relies pretty well solely on the CPU.

For example, while folding with both of my video cards under full load, photoshop barely even lags.

A $40 card will run CS4, 3D is another story.

So instead of paying extra $$$ for the nicer video card, i should spend it on a better cpu, maybe i7 960 cpu, instead of a i7 920? and fast ddr 3 memory?

I'm also waiting for the Crucial RealSSD C300, as i heard that a fast drive will aslo make a big difference.

A couple SSDs, one for OS, a smaller one for a scratch disk, Photoshop will fly ;).
