Any word on when the Atomic Edition 5xxx will come out or the 5890s? I'm feeling an urge to upgrade in the coming weeks ;D

With the review title, I honestly thought this was just another 5850 review and I did not bother to look at it at first.

That cooling method was really something for air. If you have not checked out this review, you should.

Perhaps adding the words "Sapphire's new cooling method" or similar to the review title?

I do not order the Toxic when I purchase my 5870 last week because , I want a card with generic board design, So it will be more easy to choose an after market cooler, I'm thinking thermalright or WC bloc , noise is my big issue

Edit: all true the temp look DAM good on the vapor x 5850

Hardly new. Vapor-X has been out for years.

Convection is the combination of conduction and advection. You are talking about natural and forced convection, advection is there in both cases as it pertains to the moving fluid wheres the conduction part refers to the layer of fluid along the wall which does not move.

I admit I have never used watercooling but judging from the review the card is quite silent already and with watercooling (again I may be mistaken here) you have a fan to cool the radiator/s so would it not come out to the same in the end?

Vapor-X is sexy, especially this blue and black scheme. Stunning is the exact word to describe it

Default Question

Hi

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I have a question

I'm currently deciding between 3 cards as my current Asus 8800GTX gave way to artefacts

1) Sapphire 5850 (Stock)
2) Sapphire 5850 Vapor-X
3) Sapphire 5850 Toxic

I'm a total newb at OC (never done so all the while) & would like to seek recommendation from the guru's here!

Thanks!
