Default AMD's ATI Catalyst 10.2 and 10.3 Preview

It looks like ATI flooded major sites with new Catalyst propaganda.
HOCP, Tom's, Elite Bastards, Legit reviews, PCWorld.

As for me I just want to get rid off that damn GSOD. It looks like latest beta helps me. 5 days trouble free. *knock in wood*.

I'm also one driven crazy by the stupid GSOD. A couple days ago after trying every tweak mentioned anywhere on the net I found a beta release of 10.2 and it fixed my GSOD. So I hope it continues to be fixed in the official release. God was that a shitty month and a half!

The 10.2 betas have been awesome drivers for me. The Crossfire profile updates are a long time coming and I'm very excited about them adding that functionality.

Basically, they are adding features that should have been in their drives all along and fixing things that should have never been broken. These aren't previews; they're damage control on ATI's part for features that were embarassingly underdeveloped in the past.

One thing that concerns me is this "ultra low power state". We already know that several problems in the past have been caused by power states that are simply too low and as such the card has issues in 2D mode.

Nonetheless, the Crossfire profiles will be a welcome addition but I am still a firm believer that ATI should ditch their monthly driver updates and concentrate on quarterly ones like NVIDIA does. It helps the development process by not always having to submit updates to the WHQL labs and will allow them more leeway to work on the Crossfire profiles.

I am also hoping the new Crossfire files will be easily accessible on the AMD site. Right now, navigating both it and the game.ati site is like swimming through mud. Basically, it ain't easy to find things.

Yeah, Anand's too but it was in the morning.

SKY is right, TBH I don't need anything else but a stable driver in 2D and 3D. After that they can do whatever gimmick they want.

Hopefully these drivers solve the random colour screening issues where the card stops working for about half a minute. It's been very annoying when trying to play games the past few weeks.

Saw that yesterday.
I'm still leary to try them after the troubles I've had with my 4890. Everything is stable on the 9.10 drivers now.. I may not even take the chance again..
