Default Xfire with eyefinity

So can we Xfire with eyefinity , depending on the awnser I may order 2 x 5870.

Yes, AMD released XFire Eyefinity support with their 9.12 drivers a couple months ago. However, from my understanding, it doesn't work with all games. I'm not sure if there's a list of supported games somewhere, but AMD has stated they are intending to increase support for XFire Eyefinity through driver updates and possibly game specific patches.

+1 for that. Is there a reason you're going to drop an extra $500 on a Xfire setup? I can't imaging anything in a workstation environment that a single 5870 can't dominate...

yes, 2 dvi/hdmi and 1 display port, i think eyefinity+crossfire only supports 1 card handling all the connections, the other is only used for more horsepower

ofcourse you could run them in non crossfire mode and run up to 6 displays across the 2 cards, but im not sure what the point of that would be?

cool, i might try a 5870, if nvidia doesn't come out with something soon..
