I originally got one 5870 from XFX who I hear has great customer service but recently NCIX had a sale on the powercoler 5870 who has decent customer service.

Sales over now nvm :(

Id go 2x XFX 5870s in this case

XFX has a lifetime transferrable warranty, I believe.

XFX for the warranty, can't beat double lifetime warranty that allow you to mod, as long you can revere back.

With everything I read today about the problem of the 58XX serie I think I gone wait for the GTX 470 , or at least wait to see ATI mature a little bit the products. I will may be order 2 x 5770 and test them in xfire, they are more easy to resell locally

And you can get those (5770) with the egg coolers, not like the 5870 all reference design cards.

Remember, waiting for the GTX 470 is a double bladed sword. On one side, you could get an awesome GPU, on the other is ATI's anticipated price drop.

What everyone is failing to see is that the new GTX cards have a name and really nothing else. My issues with my 5870 are a bare minimum and a minor annoyance at worst. Get a 5870 now that the newer released 5870s should have most kinks worked out of them vs waiting to beta test essentially the new nvidia cards when they do come out which I dont see happening in the very near future,(sept release is my bet). Of course 5770s in xfire is a pretty sweet setup too since I had one for a bit and decided to go back to single gpu. Definatly make sure to get the egg cooler models as you can remove the silly shroud and use the very nice zalman flower heatpipe cooler.
