No way. Antec 900 is an excellent case and I highly recommend it.

Antec 900 is the worst case to come out of any factory sorry. It has crappy cable length for the front I/Os, poor power supply placing and the 200mm fan is unncessary.

Everything lines up very nicely for me. My only beef is that I needed to make an extension for the 8-pin CPU power cable. You are part of a very small minority that does not like it because everyone I know that has it loves it.

I know everyone loves it hence why it still sells and if people realized there are better cases then it wouldn't sell.

The Coolermaster CM 690 is a FAR superior case for example that nobody knows about.

Guys, this is not helping. Cases are a matter of personal preference. Though you can state the pros and cons of the Antec 900 to the OP, helping him make a wise choice.

Now, can you relist your choices? Because for 1200$, that opens up a lot of possibilities. And since I know 3Dmax, going for a Quad Core is highly recommended. Do you plan to overclock? And don't choose an board with onboard video - worst choice you can make.

Post Final rig?

Based on a few comments and reviews, I've settled for the following (off ncix.com) :

-Intel Core2Duo 2.66ghz e6740 1333fsb
-Gigabyte GA-p35-ds3l motherboard with onboard audio, lan
-Mushkin 2gb 800mhz ddr2 ram
-Seagate 320gig SATA2 HDD
-Antec TruePower Trio 650W PSU
-Antec 900 Mid-Tower Gamer case*
-Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme 6 Heatpipe cooler
-Scythe S-flex 120mm cooling fam
-XFX 8800gts 640mb

*: Sorry enaberif, but it appeals to me both visually and cooling-wise

A quad-core sure would be nice, but for the moment I'm going with a less expensive, powerful enough double 2.6ghz... the motherboard supports quad-cores so I can upgrade the CPU later on.

As for over-clocking, I've never OC'd anything before... to be honest I kinda feel uneasy about it, afraid to break something I guess. If there's a safe way to OC the processor a few hundred mhz then that would definately be worth a try...

BTW Thank you all for being so helpful :P

You will have a nice system. I have that same board (DS3L), and it oc'ed a Q6600 to 3.6Ghz, under water.

You're ready; have fun building it and you will overclock one day, don't worry...

Once your rig is ready, check out the stickies related to overclocking; try it out and if you're not too sure, start a thread!
