is 7900GTX still good??

I/m looking for a 7900GTX with 512mb or ram I just wonder if this is still good choice..? I know a lot of cards there but the offer was CDN $190 i wonder if its worth to get it or wait until the next generation of cards comes:sad:

thanks

Mine plays Bioshock on mostly max settings without a hitch. It's an awesome card, but I'm selling mine so I can downgrade and get some more money.

It's still a very good card. That offer seems quite good for the card. I'd say go for it.

For the price I'd rather get one of these

Wow!!!!

Even without the $30 MIR that looks like an awesome deal!!!!!!

Dangnabit I may invest in one of those cards to SLI with my other 7900 GS

7900 GTX is still a good card, but I would either invest a little more money ($60-$100) and pick up an 8800 GTS 320 MB or HD 2900 Pro, or get the 7900 GS already suggested for $130 - $30 MIR ...

8800GTS 320/640MB are end-of-life apparently...

I'd expect some price drops on both soon enough. An updated 8800GTS 640MB will be released though with 16 more scalar shader units, however the 320MB will no longer exist.

Not really the best time to be buying I'd say. New stuff is just around the corner it seems. So if you can wait, that may be the best thing to do.

I always hear the other way around that the 640 is the end of the line and the 320 is the star. (since there's very little difference performance wise)

Unless those 16 extra shaders pull a rabbit outta their hat.
