Default XFX RMA Replacement?

Hey HWC,

What Nvidia card do you think that XFX will send to me as a replacement for my faulty 8800GS?

THX

I think you mean GT 240; the GT 210 isn't remotely as powerful as an 8800GS whereas the 240 is similar. However, it's possible that they'll replace it with a 96SP 9600GSO if they have any left.

But my Coolink GFXChilla doesn't even fit the GT240... the GT240 isn't even on the compatiliblity list. Hopefully i'll get a 9800GT or GTS250 (which i doubt)

9600gt is a more likely candidate

your allowed aftermarket coolers on xfx cards, so tell them in your rma ticket you have that chilla and ask if they can send something its compatible with. might be worth a try?

No, the 8000 series was discontinued quite some time ago.
