I want to try SLIing this card (MSI N275GTX):

with this card (EVGA GTX 275):
NCIX.com - Buy EVGA GeForce GTX 275 633MHZ 896MB 2.26GHZ DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDTV Out Video Card - 896-P3-1170-AR In Canada.
I've been doing some reading, and apparently the new Nvidia drivers allow cards from different manufacturers to be SLI'd, whereas in the past, everything had to be the same right?
I also read that the cards can run at different frequencies, but it is ideal for the amount of RAM to be the same.
Testing this requires me to bring my rig to my friend's house, so I kinda want to know if this has a possibility of working before I lug my rig to his house.
Thanks in advance.
