Default OpenCL/Ageia, nvidia/ati opinions? gtx260 vs. hd5770(+9600gso)

Hey guys, I wanted to hear your opinions on Havok/Stream and Physx/CUDA.
-It seems like the old vcr vs. (what was it? I was like 4yrs old back then), and more recently blu-ray vs. hd-dvd. Which one do you think will pull ahead?
-What do you think will happen to hd4xxx when gt300 gets released (blown outa the water, prices, everyone rushes back to green side)?
-As for tessellation, it seems as gt300 doesn't support it native at a hardware level, what practical effect does it have?
-And a very controversial question, which company's procs produce a better image quality?

Secondary question, which one should I get? gtx260 or hd5770? I do not plan on scaling multi gpu's and there are no bottlenecks or power issues. Gaming on 1080p right now, will not be going higher anytime soon but occasionally lanparty at lower resolutions. No need for eyefinity or anything. No encoding, but I do decode the occasional 1080p. If I do get the 5770, I will likely be getting a 9600gso for fah, and physx/cuda.

Wow that's a lot of questions jammed into 2 short paragraphs I'm not going to give my personal opinions about these just yet so that the responses won't be (further) biased Happy holidays

Right now there is no GPU-accelerated Havok. All there is is PhysX. And a GTX260 is a bit better than a 5770, but if you can afford it you should go with a 4890 instead, since it is quite a bit faster than either.
