 GTX 260 core 216 or HD 4870 1GB?
Well, I am buying used cards so the offers I have are:
$120 for Diamond HD 4870 1GB.
$130 for Inno3d GTX 260 core 216
I play games on a 22" monitor with resolution of 1680x1050 widescreen.
which card should I buy?
My rig's specs:
OS: windows 7 64-bit
CPU: intel quad core Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
PSU: Corsair TX750w
Case: nzxt gamma with six 120mm fans
Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45-UD3L
RAM: 6 GB DDR2 -800+
I bought a used hd 5770 for $120; however, I keep on getting random death screens in the middle of playing games so I had to sell it for $150 hahaha. I don't know if it was because the card doesn't work well on windows 7 64-bit, or maybe my mobo was too old (Acer mobo with PCI-E 1.0), or maybe the card was faulty. I don't know how to know if any of those were true or not. So what tests should I do before I buy a used card to make sure it is performing fine.
