My System Specs

Default Another HD4890 for Crossfire

I'm thinking of adding another gpu for Crossfire mode until there is more selection of 5870/5890 cards. Problem is the card in my sig can no longer be acquired via regular channels. Could I pair it with any other 4890 or does it have to have the same clock speeds and such?

HD489A (ZDEC) specs (click on Specifications tab)

I am thinking of this one.

TIA.

Should be able to pair it with the new 4890 no problem. But the faster card will simply clock down to match the slower one.

Thanks, everyone & good morning, IRQ!

I've decided to wait and just move to the 5k series of cards. Maybe catch a Boxing Day sale.
