Default 8800GTX or Radeon 4850

Would you buy a used 8800 GTX for $100 or a new 4850 (512 MB) for $80 to replace a busted X800?

Will be using a 1680x1050 Dell Ultrasharp monitor...

Currently using an AMD 3700+ system, Thermaltake Tsunami case, Enermax Noisetaker II PSU (485W)...which is sorely outdated but likely updating to a cheap Dual Core Intel setup soon.

I can only afford $100 for the video card at this time.

I'd go 4850 because it uses less power. That's just me though.

I think the 4850 would be faster, it is cheaper and it is newer so it will last longer (hopefully).

the 4850 for sure.

cheaper, faster, use less power, have better 1080P acceleration, HDMI. And its NEW!

and your 485W psu will handle it fine.
