Arrow eVGA 285 GTX 2GB.. HDMI or DVI?

I have a eVGA GTX 285 (2GB) and it supports HDMI, I do have a 1080p monitor with HDMI and DVI ports, currently I have it connected using DVI.

The card itself does not have HDMI output interface, it has DVI and then you use a converter to turn it into HDMI where you would plug the cable to your LCD.

The converter dongle I am talking about can be seen in this pic:

What would be the benefit of using the converter and HDMI cabling vs. DVI? any?

Thank you.

AFAIK the only benefit to using HDMI vrs DVI is audio over the cable. (Well... I suppose the smaller connector is a benefit as well.... ;) ).
