My System Specs

Default 8800GTS 320MB

Are these worth anything anymore? I had one about 7 cards ago and I despised it. Would it make a good folder or PhysX card?

Well the 8800GTS's that are 512MB edition, you can still sell for about 80 or so.

I'd say getting $60 for it would be a good deal. As for folding, for sure that is a good card, about 4-6K PPD easily with stock shaders!
So, fold with it if you have one lol!!

IMO, it is too power hungry to be a good PhysX card.

I get 4000-5000 PPD on my 8800GTS 320MB, though I have the shaders running at 1674MHz with 190.62 drivers and under Sever 2003 R2 SP2. Never seen 6k PPD though.

However spec wise, it compares to a 9600GSO basically, and those go for $30? That is why I never bothered to try and sell it, and just shoved it in my server (since it runs 24/7) and began my folding adventure.

It would not be powerful enough to be a good physx card. You could use it for folding though. For a dedicated physx card I would recommend the 8800 GT as the minimum. 9800 GTX would be recommended.
