$409 for a 40Mhz OC on the core and 125Mhz on the memory... or is there something else I'm missing

Well, I did say if your R E A L L Y wanted one the option was there. However yes, I was wondering about that as well and I think the Black Edition tag brings along with it an Overclocking / Overvolting tool that is exclusive to that label.

That said, considering I can run my Gigabyte 5850 at 875 / 1150 without any voltage tweaks or significant temperature rises, the OC/OV option would not be a tool I would be interested in.

5850 for 400 bucks!
Add 20 dollars more you can buy a 5870 if you can find one.

not sure yet, stil think I may send in to rma cause the little part of the pcb pass the 2 crossfire connectors is like split in half (got it like that from ncix)
