Well, at the moment, I am good with the currently stable of games I am playing, but in the New Year, I would like to add a second card (preferably a Gigabyte or Sapphire) for Xfire so that I can crank out the frames in the upcoming DX11 games (and be able to say I have the Xfired too!).

So, if anyone with a Sapphire or Gigabyte goes out and buys a 5950 / 5970 (or x2 series) when they are supposed to be released this week, and you want to finance that with the sale of your current 5850, then by all means, PM me and we can work something out perhaps before you list it on eBay for obscene amounts of money! ;)

Cheers!

Newegg.ca had a bunch of XFX ones today. That double warranty would come in handy.

1) Buy 5850
2) Use said 5850 until your 5970 arrives
3) Sell on ebay
4) ?????
5) Profit

Revised:

1) Buy 5850
2) Use said 5850 until your 5970 arrives
3) Sell on ebay
4) ?????
5) Profit
6) Your head asplodes from the 100% profit margin

Though really, the whole "buy 5850, then 5970" thing is kinda dumb. Just buy a warehouse full of 5850's and sell 'em for $400.

If you R E A L L Y want a 5850, as of 9AM EST on November 24th, ther are quite a few of these in stock at DirectCanada and NCIX (same warehouse) - NCIX.com - Buy XFX Radeon HD 5850 Black Edition 765MHZ 1GB GDDR5 4.5GHZ 2XDVI HDMI Display Port PCI-E Video Card - HD585AZNBC In Canada.

Too rich for my blood but I am just throwing the information out there.
