One less Powercolor available now (it's cheaper and comes with Dirt 2!)

Expect a GTX 260 216SP to go up for sale soon!

Glad I could help out Yuke.

Check out this article "Hidden Threat": ATI Radeon HD 5850 Graphics Card Review - X-bit labs if you missed it on the Round-Up page. I know that I've got a reference (and soon to be a second reference) Radeon 5850, but seriously, with the headroom on these things, when the board partners come out with the custom cooled, remapped and tweaked versions of these cards, the numbers are going to surpass the Radeon 5870 by a good margin methinks. Not that the 5870 isn't a great card, it's just not as accessible as the 5850 is *price and size wise*.

Cheers!

Thanks, Surfer! I actually ended up spending about a grand more than just the card! I remembered that NCIX and DirectCanada share the same warehouse, so I checked NCIX's site for the Powercolor HD5850 and it came up as in-stock. I canceled my DirectCanada order and price-matched the HD5850 from DirectCanada with NCIX, but ended up getting the new HP 24" H-IPS monitor, a D0 stepping i7 920 and a 100 disc spindle of CD-R's. LOL, splurge!

It'll be fun to watch Jen-Hsun Huang cry about ATI until what looks like it'll be January/February when Fermi is released!

i ordered a powercolor hd5850 from direct canada yesterday around 4pm PST, and am still waiting on the confirmation that it's available.. I usually order from ncix but i didnt know the 2 share a warehouse :(.. When i ordered it was supposedly in stock, but now its not.. and i still havn't gotten a confirmation that I actually got it.. .. so I suppose all I can do is wait? I've never shopped from direct canada. Usually I'm patient as hell for these things.. but my 8800 gts has been baked 3 times now, it's so zombified I'd scared its going to jump out and eat me
