My System Specs

Default is a HDMI adapter going to fry my TV?

I have a nvid 285 video card that works great but the svid part doesn't seem to work, so I ordered a HDMI adapter that has amoung other things an svid output, but after I ordered it I started to wonder if the output of my Video card would fry my TV, my tv is an older model like it is so old that I am sure that the svid plugin started around that time

shoulda gotten evga. my 275 came with adapters. Btw, you might not have the same proplem, but when i tried the hook my tv up to my comp (i used the dvi-svga adapter) i had to restart it to make it work. Not rocket science but it took me a while to figure it out.

The adaptor is safe, and if you are getting no video try unplugging your monitor and just using the tv with a reboot
