Default EVGA Stepup

I curently have 10 days left on my stepup plan and it seems the only card that EVGA has listed that i can "stepup" to is a GTX285. Does anyone know if hte 295 is available to step up to? would it be worth steping up the to the 285? if i could get the 295 is the stepup a huge waste of money?

What are you "Stepping Up" from..?...
The GTX 295 vanilla Card should be available to Step-up to....no...its not a waste of money, but the decision really depends upon what your stepping up to from your original Card. (You can only Step up to "vanilla" Cards ((not Factory OC models)) )
Right now the CDN$ id very close to the USD so it will be beneficial to you.
I have gone thru the Step up Program on my Mobo and it was all good.
In some cases it makes more economical sense to nix the Step up Program and simply sell your Card privatley, then use that $$$ to buy another Card..again, it all depends what your original Card is (what you paid for it) and what your stepping up to...

I forgot to mention...with the ATI 5850 n 5870 being the new "king of the hill" (again depending upon what Card you presently have)...you maybe better off simply selling your Card and going the "Red Route".......

Just checked the Evga Website and it appears as though the 295 Superclocked Edition is available, but you won't be able to "Step-up" to this Card as its not the "vanilla" Card...the Vanilla 295 states "notify me" (when its available)....so, appears as though thier are none in stock....I would send evga an email asking them when / if it will be in Stock and if you "filled out the necessary electronic form" to step up to it, would they honour it when those ccards are back in Stock.....other wise your stuck to Stepping up to the 285 vanilla Card.

Alright then....NO...I would not bother Stepping up to a vanilla 285 Card from a 275 Sc Edition...you should be able to OC that 275 to well beyond FTW speeds..have you tried it?
If you can Step up to the 295 vanilla Card, then yes, it would be worth it! If you can sell it privatly.....grab an ATI 5850 or 5870......
If your Board can handle SLI (and your PSU), grab another 275 and go SLI (x2).....
Cheers
