Awesome shots, but I'm not quite sure what the point of releasing these cards so late in the game is, with next gen GPU's(HD58xx and GT3xx series) just around the corner?

Nice looking/performing cards regardless though!

Well, given that rumour mill is still undecided between a 2009 Q4 and 2010 Q1 for Nvidia's GT3XX stuff, I'd say ATI's upcoming series probably has quite a bit to do with this late release.

Marketing I guess Chilly...gotta bait some "suckers" prior to the release of the new Cards in the New Year...Their will be some Hardcore Benchers "that have to have it"...

Board - USD $450
4 x GTX 285 Classified - USD $380 x 4 = USD $1520

$1520 + $450 = $1970 USD + PSU (plural) + Case with 9-10 Expansion Slots

Ha...what an upgrade!!

I know I'll be waiting patiently for 2 nice new GTX 3xx Cards

Not really sure about that MpG....this set-up is strictly high end bencher stuff...thier is no benefit to purchasing the GTX 285 Classified over any other 285 as thier is no performance gain at all...only the 285 Classifieds can be run in Quad SLI with this new Classy Board...in other words folks that already own 275 / 280 / 285 / 295 are not likely to jump on these GPU's at all....only the Hardcores that want all four and the Board.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see one more revision of the 295 to answer the ATI Card....just to satisfy some appetites until Jan '10...perhaps a "Mars" type 2 x 285 Card...

Interestingly, the Classified's core sports a lower overclock than the FTW edition. The memory on the other hand is at some extremely high levels.

I am already thinking/wondering if four 300's is going to be possible with that MB.
