Default Replace my 7800gtx sli setup with a single 9800gt?

Hey,

what do you guys think? Will I gain a lot of performance going to a single 9800 gt? I have a 24" monitor and I cod5 seems to tax my sli setup... I was thinking of a 9800gt but I'm not sure if it benefit me at all....

I have an amd x2 2.3 ghz, 2x 2gb sticks of ram with this system running xp and vista, soon to replace vista with 7.

Thanks

Hi reckless, your bottleneck might not neccessarily be your graphics setup. I've noticed that you said your processor is an AMD X2 @ 2.3Ghz. Thats a little on the slow side for today's games. It's possible that your sli setup is "starved" for bandwidth from the 2.3Ghz processor.

I didn't think of that... I guess I could see what the task manager says for my CPU consumption when I play. If I'm at 100% the whole time then maybe that's a good indicator.

The 9800GT is old tech, either buy the GTX260 or w8 till the next gen cards come out in Q4
