Default 4870 x2 aftermarket cooler

so im a bit worried my card may be damaged, because of the tight as hell x-clamps, so after trying to jam them on with the stubby screws i stopped, and took a few longer screws out of the stock cooler that worked like a charm, but i had already pushed a bit hard on my card trying to get those stock basterds in their. i wont be able to test my card for a week, but im thinking it may be fine because after my struggle before the new screws i removed the cooler and looked at both GPU's witch were not cracked or dammaged in any way.

should i have anything to worrie about?
