4890 Xfire Issues

Not sure if anyone can help out here, but i recently purchased a second 4890 to xfire on my Asus P5E3 deluxe and have been having an issue with no signal to the monitor until the OS has completely loaded. By connecting the DVI to the second card i get post info but no signal when the os loads? I have installed the latest bios and catalyst drivers with no sucess, i would love to see my pc boot instead of a black screen untill XP loads. Both cards have been tested individually and work fine but not in Xfire, also my HX1000 should have more than enough juice to run these.

Any suggestions?

Boot up with one card, go into device manager and delete the driver for the video card and then shut down the PC. Now pop in the other card as well and see if it boots up properly.
