NVIDIA to release a 11nm GPU with 5000 stream processors !

In an aim to push GPU to its limits, NVIDIA's new graphic card is just around the corner - DX 13, realtime raytracing, quad channel video acceleration, Enhanced CUDA, hardware high-def encoder/decoder, up to 8GB of video memory, OctoSLI support....Ultra HD support, UNLIMITED texture size......

Due for christmas 2009!

:haha::haha::haha: Yeah you wish don't you ?

NVIDIA: 11nm GPUs with 5000 Stream Processors in 2015

Now before you grab one of those - you better hope that your CPU can keep up with this - probably not by any means - I can only imagine what CUDA and PhysX on this baby can be like, let alone gaming performance - can you say no more low polygon count in games - true to life textures - imagine this power for CAD and business applications (rendering, video editing) WOW!
What is the asking price for this probably out of most people's reach !

:biggrin:

2015!?!

That's the year MJ Fox travels to in Back To The Future 2! I hopes we gots flying cars, hoverboards and 3D holograms then too. :)

LOL - no I think flying cars and gigawatt thrusters are much farther down - maybe in 3015 :)

BTW that realtime raytracing bit that was my invention - :D Although with that power I would love to think it can do realtime RT with decent frame rates - Now just imagine the quality of games with realtime RT - I bet you won't even tell the difference between the game and the cut scenes - no more pre-rendered cut scenes - no more rendered movies - that should really reduce the size of games ! :)

Isn't that suppose to be when the economy here or in the states is going to rebound? lol But seriously, man i'd love to have that card folding for me, imagine the pdd!

Doesn't the world end in 2012 though? :ph34r:

I doubt NVIDIA will be on 11nm by 2015, ATI will be though :bleh:

We can only hope. It would solve all our problems.
