ASUS3450 problem with HDMI

I just replaced my GeForce NVIDIA 7300 with an ASUS3450. My old 7300 would not support HDCP. I properly removed the NVIDIA drivers before installing the ATI drivers. I'm using my PC as a HTPC and require HDMI output. Since installing the 3450 I'm having problems getting 1080 output to my 37" LCD ACER 3705 display via DVI and any output via HDMI. The DVI output at 720 appears clear, but I have to force 1080 at anything above 25MHz. The HDMI output is a disaster with all resolutions. Any help on configuring my 3450 to properly support HMDI would be greatly appreciated.
